The new four-star hotel in Siófok has opened with 73 rooms on the shore of Lake Balaton. The 1.7 billion HUF investment has been subsidized with nearly 1 billion HUF by the European Union and the Hungarian state. The hotel will receive guests starting from January 28th.
Financial investor Kornél Waller, CEO of SH-Development Ltd. owned by private persons, said at the opening ceremony that the Hotel Yacht Wellness & Business will provide health tourism services in addition to the traditional hotel services.
The investment with four levels, an area of nearly six thousand square metres, and 205 places has been built close to the Siófok marina in 6 months. It consists of a refurbished old building and a new wing hosting the wellness and healthcare sections. The hotel will receive guests starting from January 28th and will be operated by Service4You. The investment creates 40 new jobs.
Kornél Waller said that the area of the hotel is rented from a bank, and they plan to buy it later. They expect that the company events will bring a significant part of the clientele, and that the hotel will be attractive for pensioners due to its healthcare section.
